Yesterday morning we did another doorbell surprise, to let the Zaharkos know they'd been chosen to star in the show. The Gurus went with another "psych-out" approach, pretending they were there with bad news, before letting them off the hook.
The funny thing is, the Zaharkos actually did think they got passed by when they saw that the Jesserers were announced the day before, so it must have been a real rollercoaster of a day for them!
I was actually thinking about this the night we left the Jesserers', wondering if the Zaharkos were disappointed. Our director Steve jokingly said, "I don't mean to burst your bubble, man, but with nine kids, I kinda doubt they're reading your blog." Maybe not, Mr. Smartypants, but lucky for them they've got lots of extended family members keeping their eyes peeled -- have you seen the comments on the last blog? It's like an interstate family reunion!
Are all you folks coming to the block party on November 17? Even if just the family shows up, we might be rocking the biggest bash Pittsburgh's ever seen! ;)

Ha, "mood swings," I love it. "Better not anger the computer, kids, we're expecting an important email today."
I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow, I've been having technical difficulties myself the last couple days...if the Gurus weren't so busy working on 3 different homes at the same time, I'd be tempted to nag them for a house call!

Welcome, Sharon! Glad to hear Emily's enjoying being a superstar already...just wait until the block party on the 17th, she's going to feel like the queen of the world!
Will you be coming to cheer the Zaharkos on, Sharon?
