Pittsburgh 'Call 4 Action'

Consumer watchdog on cable, Internet, phone service

Jan 18, 2008

Aaron Saykin, of Pittsburgh's ABC Channel 4, aired a story last night on a recent consumer survey, as part of his "Call 4 Action" consumer watchdog segment. Regular readers may recall last week's blog on the survey, which ranked FiOS at #1 for TV, Internet and Phone service. In Pittsburgh, one might actually have 4 choices for TV service, so a consumer survey like this can be even more valuable to folks in Terrible Towel country.

Video of Saykin's report is unavailable, but there's a print version, along with a full listing of southwestern Pennsylvania communities with FiOS, at the station's website.

Says the Call 4 Action report, "Since its local debut in early November, Verizon said its FiOS TV network has expanded to 100,000 households in 49 communities, with plans to double that by 2009."

Wow. And to think I was there on the day when it all started!
