The Twittering Teddy charity eBay auction ended today -- lucky winner dirtyspectacles will soon be enjoying this Techno-Guru invention all to herself.

Selfish, you say? Heck no! Not only will 100% of dirtyspectacles' money* be going to the Homeless Children's Education Fund , but the charity will also get a matching donation from Verizon.

It's been a fun couple of weeks, watching Teddy make the leap from unknown heap of fur and circuitry, to beloved Internet celebrity, practically overnight! I'm sure she'll enjoy her new home, too -- personally, I think that pegboard backdrop on her webcam set was beginning to cramp her style a bit.

Congrats to dirtyspectacles, and thanks to everyone who followed Teddy on Twitter, Ustream.tv...and in their hearts.**

**Yes, even you folks who described her robotic voice and persona as "creepy" or "scary" -- Twittering Teddy is very forgiving, and is definitely not conspiring with your other Bluetooth devices against you. Well, probably not. ;)
