HACK A BAT

3D STEREO

Jul 24, 2008 11:16 am

I am a mechanical engineer and am very impressed with the hack a bat article. I would like to contact the developers and purchase a wiring diagram or more detailed instructions and find out more information on the software.
I can be contacted at stereodatamaker@yahoo.com.

Glad you liked Hack-a-Bat, Phillip! Very cool that you're interested in building your own, too. Saw your comment on Instructables.com as well -- I'm working on getting more info for you, I'll let you know!

Thanks for checking out the site.

Any help would be appreciated. Did you use a wooden bat? Are you planning on doing further development?

Phillip! I was able to track down the Hack-a-Bat software and some other notes/data that hopefully an enterprising and computer-savvy do-it-yourselfer like you can work with -- you can download the zipped folder here.

If you have any further questions about the project, feel free to post them in this same thread. Good luck and keep us posted!

Is there a MS friendly version of the software?

Hello Mike,
Our Software interface currently only works with Macs. I will explain how to receive data from the bat on a PC, and provide links to third party data visualization software in the next article in my Hack-a-Bat 101 blog posts.
